Cobalt's Chief Scientific Officer wins international recognition

Cobalt’s Chief Scientific Officer, Prof. Pavel Matousek is to be presented with the prestigious Charles Mann Award by the Federation of Analytical Chemistry and Spectroscopy Societies (FACSS) at its annual conference in Louisville, KY in October 2009.

The award is given to individuals who've demonstrated advancement in the field of applied Raman Spectroscopy. Pavel's recent work includes the development of Spatially Offset Raman Spectroscopy (SORS), the revolutionary technique allowing chemical substances to be detected deep beneath surfaces of non see-through materials, one of Cobalt’s key proprietary technologies.
