Custom SystemsCobalt can supply customer-specified systems for based on its dedicated LiteThru™ Engine. |
The LiteThru™ Engine is a flexible module for implementing SORS and TRS in a production or research environment; it is a self-contained unit driven by dedicated PC software that allows full control of all aspects of its operation.

Custom system
The LiteThru™ Engine is fibre-coupled to a dedicated SORS or TRS probe unit, which can be detached and re-attached quickly and easily. The head contains opto-mechanical elements that enable computer control of parameters such as spatial offset and the monitoring of laser power.
A number of SORS probes are available for a range of applications. The two standard geometries are ring illumination (inverse SORS) and point collection. Inverse SORS has the advantages of reducing laser power densities for light-sensitive applications such as biomedical uses. All probes are fully automated and controlled in software.
